Handling for livestock farming: what are the solutions?

Pierre-Yves, livestock farmer in Brittany

Having worked on other farms for several years, Pierre-Yves JAN took over the family farm at the age of 31. Today, he has a herd of 60: around fifty heifers and a dozen bullocks. With a utilised agricultural area (UAA) of 63 hectares, 25 hectares of which are used for growing maize and 12 hectares for wheat, it was essential for Pierre-Yves to be equipped with efficient equipment for maximum productivity.

MX: Efficient handling tools

Pierre-Yves’ needs are diverse on the farm: feeding his animals, managing the maize and wheat crops, clearing manure, etc. He now has a variety of handling implements at his disposal. Using his feeding trailer, he feeds his cows and heifers.

“I have a straw-bedded barn that produces a lot of manure.”

He clears out this manure with his MX loader and multipurpose bucket. And he uses the same implements every other month to spread the manure. Pierre-Yves is completely satisfied with his MX products, which he also chose because of the company’s proximity to his farm. He added: “I am proud to buy French.”
