New MX Shear Grab: a precise cut for a cleaner silo
At the silo, an uneven cutting face exposes more material to the air. The forage can then deteriorate faster and generate more losses. MX is launching its new Shear Grab, designed to take silage cleanly, without tearing the material. The new MX Shear Grab cuts the material cleanly. It allows you to take a compact block, in both grass silage and maize silage.
Its objective is simple: to keep a smooth, vertical and even cutting face. Result: less crumbling, fewer losses and a cleaner working area at the silo.
3 models to suit farm needs
The MX Shear Grab range includes three models: SG 140, SG 160 and SG 200.
The range meets the needs of farms equipped with compatible loaders and self-propelled machines.

Powerful cylinders for a clean cut
The MX Shear Grab is fitted with cylinders sized to cut the material efficiently:
- SG 140 & 160: 2 cylinders
- SG 200: 3 cylinders
This design ensures efficient claw closure. The cut is clean. The block remains compact and easier to transport.
A wide opening for greater consistency
With a claw opening of 945 mm, the Shear Grab penetrates easily into the forage.
It allows a consistent volume to be taken with each cycle. The user keeps a more constant quantity when loading and limits back-and-forth movements.
The tines are spaced 10 cm apart. This spacing makes it easier to penetrate the silage clamp and limits losses during handling.
An implement made to last for everyday use
The new MX Shear Grab is designed for regular use at the silo.

In the event of wear, only the affected sections are replaced. The implement remains out of service for less time.
Optional MACH 2® for faster connection
The MX Shear Grab can be fitted with the MACH 2® option.
This solution makes the hydraulic connection between the loader and the implement easier. Connection is made in a single movement, with no possibility of reversal.
